ARTICLE I

 

Purpose, Mission and Vision

    1. The purpose of the Waupaca County ATV Association is to provide safe and environmentally friendly trails, So that all can enjoy a positive ATV experience.
    2. The mission is to preserve and to advance ATV opportunities.
    3. The vision is to educate the ATV community to the ethics of the sport.

ARTICLE II

 

Membership

     1. Membership in the Association shall consist of the following classes.
      A. Active Members
      B. Associate and Honorary Members
      C. All ATV Enthusiasts
      D. Land Owners
    2. Each active member 16 years of age shall be entitled to one vote.
    3. A member may resign from the club at any time upon written notice to the secretary.
    4. Membership in the Association may be terminated by majority vote of the membership in attendance.
    5. Members terminated by resignation or vote as members not in good standing must be voted on in order for them to return as members of the club. (Amended 04/08/2006)

ARTICLE III

 

Executive Committee

    1. The executive committee shall have the ultimate authority for the direction and activities of the Association. The executive committee shall be comprised of the following:
      A. The President
      B. The Vice President
      C. The Secretary
      D. The Treasurer
      E. At least one Advisor
    2. The executive committee shall hold their positions for two years or until their successors are elected. (Amended 04/08/2006 from one-year term to two-year term) At the end of the term the executive board members can accept another term, if elected. If sufficient advisors are not elected each term, the President may appoint them. There should be at least two advisors. (President, Treasurer and two Advisors elected on even numbered years and Vice President, Secretary and at least one advisor elected on odd numbered years).
    3. . Active members of the Waupaca County ATV Association who are in good standing and are at least eighteen (18) years of age may hold any office.
      A. A Member must an active member of the Association for one (1) year to qualify to run for any officer position in the Association.
      B. A Member must be eighteen (18) years of age and be an active Association member for at least six (6) months before able to vote for officers. (Section 3 items A and B amended 06/12/2003).
    4. Five members of the executive committee shall constitute a quorum, from time to time, matters may arise that call for immediate action, in such cases the President shall pole the executive committee and take action on the matter as directed by a majority of the members of the executive committee.

ARTICLE IV

 

Duties of Officers

    1. The President shall have primary responsibility of the legal and financial affairs of this Association. The President can spend up to $100.00 without executive approval. The President shall preside at the meetings of the Association and the executive committee. The President shall appoint ad hoc committees as deemed necessary. The President shall vote only in the event of a tie.
    2. The Vice President shall perform all the duties of the President, in the absence of the President.
    3. The Secretary shall keep a record of the meetings of the Association in a minute’s book provided for that purpose. The Secretary shall be responsible for the legal records of this Association and perform other duties as generally fall to that office.
    4. The Treasurer shall have primary responsibility for the financial records of the Association. The Treasurer shall oversee and record all collection of dues and all money due to the Association. The duties also include paying lawful expenses in a timely fashion. This shall include presenting the executive committee with a monthly report at each meeting, and to the general members at the annual meeting. The treasurer’s books shall be subject to an annual audit before the annual meeting, by a committee appointed by the President consisting of non-executive members.
    5. The duties of the Advisors shall be as determined and supervised by the Executive committee of officers.

ARTICLE V

 

Education and Safety

    1. The President shall appoint instruction leaders to organize Association Safety classes.
